being diagnosed with a serious disease

We have no classes today cos there was a Presidential Forum in school, and classes was cut in the afternoon. So Mom decided to take Me and Maan with her to our family doctor for 10years to have us checked.

Mom decided to have me checked since I told her that a lot of people notice that my neck is getting big. And someone even told me that I might have a thyroid problem. I also noticed this years ago, but Mom would tell me its just normal since I talk and laugh aloud.

And now I am diagnosed with Colloid Goiter. Doctor told me that there's nothing to worry about because he said it's outside my thyroid gland and surgery is not needed. He gave me medicine to take once everyday and told me not to eat peanuts and anything that comes from soil or root crops.
Doctor also said that I got this because I lack Iodine in my diet (which Mom and I wonders, because I love sea foods, esp. shrimps, crabs, oysters) He also pinpointed that Heredity is also one of the factors since he knew that my Aunties and Uncles had history of thyroid diseases.

Im a bit bothered about what I have now. But I'm still thankful that it's not toxic and the enlargement wasn't inside my thyroid.
And as what my doctor said, there's really nothing to worry about.
